The ongoing drought in western Queensland has impacted local farmers severely as they struggle to support their livestock and their families.
MAA National has partnered with the Muslim Charitable Foundation, Islamic Society of Gold Coast, and ICare to help Aussie farmers in their time of need by trucking hay bales from the border of Victoria and New South Wales to farmers in west Queensland.
Farmers impacted by drought often struggle to ask for help and many due to the financial strain of trying to keep the farm afloat also battle mental health issues.
Due to the overwhelming support from the Australian Muslim community MAA was able to collect $4,000 to deliver 2 trucks of hay bales to the farmers.
The hay bales will travel from Darlington Point, NSW to Cunnamalla, QLD on 26th January 2018.
The team at MAA National would to thank all of the generous donors and supporters for their help in making this possible.
