Locals have been describing it as the "worst drought in living memory" but things are about to go from bad to worse in many parts of rural Australia, with several towns' water supply just weeks away from drying up.
Water-saving measures in drought-ravaged southern Queensland have gone up yet another gear with "critical" restrictions recently imposed, limiting residents to 100 litres per person per day.
MAA has been working with our partners to transport hay bales and water to the Drought Affected regions in Australia, and we have already completed several rounds of distributing emergency relief to our struggling farmers. Since this is an ongoing project, we need your support to distribute the following:
- Hay Bales for livestock (around 300kgs each)
- 1000L tanks of water
- 10L bottles of water
Please donate generously towards this appeal and help those affected by the drought in Australia.
